CRISTINA GOMEZ PONCE

From a young age, I have been driven by curiosity and a deep concern for the world around me. I first studied Marketing, but it was during this time that I discovered Sociology and realized my true passion: understanding society and working towards positive change.

Seeking to make a real impact, I traveled to Tanzania as a volunteer, where I experienced firsthand the power of education. There, I found my calling—Sociology of Education. I saw how access to knowledge could empower children, opening their minds to endless possibilities.

Determined to continue this mission, I joined this project with a clear goal: to show children that the world is vast, full of opportunities, and that they, too, have the power to shape it. I want to inspire them to believe in themselves and to know that they can be the change-makers of tomorrow.

Spending time in Ghana has only deepened my commitment. Seeing the direct impact of the organization’s work and how education transforms lives has been an eye-opening experience. I have continued collaborating with the NGO because I truly believe in its mission and the way it operates—transparent, effective, and always focused on the community. The dedication of people like Sally and the real change they create make this work incredibly meaningful.
