Our midwifery internship program in Ghana places interns in clinics, maternity wards, and hospitals where you will observe and assist qualified midwives in providing care to mothers and newborns.

This program is ideal for midwifery students, nursing students, and aspiring maternal health professionals.

As a midwifery intern in Ghana, you will:

• Observe antenatal and postnatal care
• Assist midwives with basic, non-invasive tasks
• Support patient care and comfort
• Learn about maternal and newborn health practices
• Participate in health education sessions

Daily Activities

• Morning: Placement in maternity ward or clinic
• Afternoon: Patient support or health education
• Evening: Free time or cultural experience

What to Expect

Healthcare facilities may have limited resources and high patient demand, giving you real exposure to maternal healthcare challenges in developing communities.

All activities are supervised and based on your level of training.
