In many communities in Ghana, children with disabilities face limited access to care, education, and social support. Many are placed in care centers, orphanages, or remain at home without adequate resources.

Our special needs volunteer program in Ghana is designed to provide support, care, and development opportunities for these children — helping them build confidence, independence, and social skills.

Your presence brings attention, care, and hope to children who are often overlooked.

As a special needs volunteer in Ghana, you will:

• Support children with daily activities (dressing, hygiene, feeding)
• Assist with basic learning and life skills development
• Engage children through games, crafts, and creative activities
• Encourage interaction, communication, and social development
• Provide emotional support and companionship
• Assist caregivers and staff in daily routines

Conditions You May Support

You may work with children experiencing:

• Autism spectrum conditions
• Cerebral palsy
• Developmental and intellectual disabilities

No prior experience is required — guidance and support will be provided.

Daily Activities

• Morning: Care support and structured activities
• Afternoon: Games, creative sessions, and interaction
• Evening: Free time or cultural experience
