Teaching & School Volunteer Program in Ghana​

Our teaching volunteer program in Ghana places volunteers in nursery, primary, and secondary schools where you will assist local teachers and help students learn in a supportive environment.

You can choose to work with children aged 2 to 16 years, depending on your interest and comfort level.

 Your Role as a Volunteer Teacher

As a volunteer teacher in Ghana, you will:

  • Assist local teachers in the classroom
  • Teach subjects like English, Math, Science, ICT, Creative Art and Reading.
  • Support students with learning activities
  • Help organize lessons and classroom activities
  • Gradually lead classes if you feel confident

Daily Activities

Morning: Classroom teaching and support

Afternoon: Tutoring, activities, and lesson preparation

Evening: Free time or cultural experience

What to Expect

Schools may have limited resources and large class sizes, which makes your support very valuable. You will also experience a different teaching style and cultural environment.

Don’t worry — you will be guided and supported throughout your placement.
