Teaching & School Volunteer Program in Ghana

Our teaching volunteer program in Ghana places volunteers in nursery, primary, and secondary schools where you will assist local teachers and help students learn in a supportive environment.

You can choose to work with children aged 2 to 16 years, depending on your interest and comfort level.

Your Role as a Volunteer Teacher

As a volunteer teacher in Ghana, you will:

Assist local teachers in the classroom
Teach subjects like English, Math, Science, ICT, Creative Art and Reading.
Support students with learning activities
Help organize lessons and classroom activities
Gradually lead classes if you feel confident

Daily Activities

Morning: Classroom teaching and support

Afternoon: Tutoring, activities, and lesson preparation

Evening: Free time or cultural experience

What to Expect

Schools may have limited resources and large class sizes, which makes your support very valuable. You will also experience a different teaching style and cultural environment.

Don’t worry — you will be guided and supported throughout your placement.
